If your Walkr doesn’t record the steps, it could be some of the settings on the phone are preventing Walkr from running properly. Some adjustments would do a great help. Please follow the instructions based on the manufacturer of your device.
SAMSUNG
- First check the OS version of your Samsung phone. Go to mobile Settings → "Software information" → "Android version"
-- For OS version 5.0 or above --
- Go to mobile Settings → Device maintenance → Battery → Choose "Unmonitored Apps"
- Click "Add apps" (tap the "┊" button on top right) → Select Walkr → Click "Done" (top right)
-- For OS version lower than 5.0 --
- Go to mobile Settings → Device maintenance → Battery → Battery usage → tap Three dots (or "More" on top right) → Optimize battery usage → select "Apps not optimized" and switch to "All apps" → Find “Walkr” and switch it OFF
- Settings → Device Maintenance → Unmonitored Apps → Add apps → Select Walkr
HUAWEI
- First check the EMUI version of your Huawei phone. Go to mobile Settings → "About Phone" → check EMUI version
-- For EMUI version 3 --
- Phone Manager → Settings (top right) → Protected Apps → find Walkr → turn it on
- Phone Manager → Startup Manager → find Walkr → turn it on
- Tap the overview button "" on your phone to open a list of recently used apps → find Walkr → press and swipe down → tap the "lock" button
-- For EMUI version 5 --
- Phone Manager → Lock screen cleanup (swipe right to the second page) → Find Walkr → turn it off
- Tap the overview button "" on your phone to open a list of recently used apps → find Walkr → press and swipe down Walkr → tap the "lock" button
- Go to mobile Settings → Apps → Settings → Special Access → Ignore Battery Optimization → Find Walkr (click the dropdown arrow to see all apps) → Choose "Allow"
-- For EMUI version 8 --
- Phone Manager → Launch → Find Walkr → tap it and change it to "Manage Manually", and turn on "Auto-launch", "Secondary launch" and "Run in background"
- Tap the overview button "" on your phone to open a list of recently used apps → find Walkr → press and swipe down Walkr → tap the "lock" button
- Go to mobile Settings → Apps & Notifications → Apps→ Settings → Special Access → Ignore battery optimization → Find Walkr (click the dropdown arrow to see all apps) → Choose "Allow"
XIAOMI
- Go to mobile Settings → Battery & Performance → find "Battery Saver" → choose apps → find Walkr → choose "No Restrictions"
- Go to mobile Settings → Permissions → Autostart → find Walkr → turn it on
- Tap the Overview button to open a list of recently used apps → Find Walkr → press and swipe down → tap the "lock" button
PIXEL
-- For OS version lower than 9.0 --
- Settings → Battery → tap the three dots on the top right → Battery Optimization → tap the dropdown arrow and choose "All apps" → find Walkr → choose "Don’t Optimize"
-- For OS version 9.0 --
- Settings → Apps & Notifications → tap the dropdown arrow on the bottom → tap "Special App Access" → select "Battery Optimization" → tap the dropdown arrow and choose "All apps" → Find Walkr → Choose "Don’t Optimize"
SONY
- Settings → Battery → tap the three dots on the top right → Battery Optimization → Apps → find Walkr → select "Not Optimized"
OPPO
- Go to mobile Settings → Battery → Energy Saver → find Walkr → turn off "Background Freeze" and "Abnormal Apps Optimization"
- Phone Manager → Privacy Permissions → Startup Manager → find Walkr → turn it on
VIVO
- iManager → App Manager →Autostart manager → find Walkr → turn on
- iManager → Power Manager → Backstage Power → find Walkr → turn on
HTC
- Go to mobile Settings → Power → Battery Optimization → find Walkr → choose "Don’t Optimize"
ONEPLUS
- Go to mobile Settings → Battery → Battery Optimization → tap the dropdown arrow and choose "All Apps" → find Walkr → set it to "Don't Optimize"
LG
- Settings → Battery & Power Saving → Battery Saver → click "Restrict apps in background" → find Walkr → set it to "No Restrictions"
MOTOROLA
- Go to mobile Settings → Battery → Stamina Mode → Find Walkr → Turn off "Stamina Mode" for Walkr
- Go to mobile Settings → Battery → click the "⋮" button on the top right → Battery Optimization → tap the dropdown arrow and choose "All Apps" → find Walkr → set it to "Don't Optimize" → select "Done"
ZTE
- Go to mobile Settings → Battery → tap "⋮" on the top right → Battery Optimization → Switch "Not optimized" list to "All Apps" (by clicking the dropdown arrow) → find Walkr → Set it to "Don't Optimize" → Done
OTHER DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
- Go to mobile Settings and see if the following settings are available:
- Battery & Battery Optimization (turn off battery optimization for Walkr)
- Apps & Apps optimization (turn off battery optimization for Walkr)
- Autostart settings (turn on auto start for Walkr)
